Compatibility

XSL-FO to PDF on older .NET

The certified release is XML2PDF Core 1.0 for .NET 10 on Windows x64. XML2PDF has supported .NET Framework through .NET 5, and we maintain the original source code: we can build for other .NET versions on request, at no extra cost with your Commercial + OEM licence, subject to technical feasibility. Email support@alt-soft.com with your requirements.

01 — What ships today

One supported release, stated plainly.

Framework
.NET 10 (net10.0-windows)
Platform
Windows x64
Runtime
Microsoft.WindowsDesktop.App
Package
AltSoft.Xml2Pdf 1.0.0
Evidence
22-document regression corpus · native x64 CI

Nothing outside that list is claimed as available today. A compatibility build is something we produce on request, then test before it ships.

02 — We have shipped these before

Twenty-four years of .NET targeting.

Alt-Soft has built and supported XML2PDF on every mainstream .NET generation since 2001. These are the Server API installers we have published — the .NET 10 build is the newest in that line.

Those earlier builds belong to the previous product line. They are not certified Core downloads and not part of Core 1.0, which is .NET 10 on Windows x64. Core is a new SDK with a different API and a narrower feature set — but the same team, and the same willingness to target what your deployment actually runs.

03 — What a compatibility build involves

Retarget, prove, package.

Retarget

The renderer and its interop are rebuilt for your framework and architecture.

Prove

The 22-document corpus runs against it, comparing layout rather than bytes.

Validate

A native Windows runner exercises the build before anything is published.

Package

An edition-matched package ships through the same release gates as 1.0.0.

What to send us

Enough to know whether it is a rebuild or a different conversation. Four lines is usually enough.

  • Target framework and version
  • Windows version and architecture
  • Application type — desktop, service, web or batch
  • Approximate deployment size

Included with the licence

A compatibility build for another .NET version is included with the $999 Commercial + OEM licence at no extra cost, subject to technical feasibility. One company licence, whatever framework your application needs.
